How to Reset Google Pixel Watch 4

The Pixel Watch 4 supports soft reset (restart) for minor issues and factory reset for complete restoration.


Soft Reset (Restart)

Use for frozen screen, app crashes, connectivity issues, or slow performance. No data loss.

Method 1 - Button: Press and hold side crown for 10-15 seconds until Google logo appears.

Method 2 - Settings: Settings System Restart Confirm

After restart, all apps, settings, and data remain intact.


Factory Reset

Erases all data, returns watch to original state. Use for:

  • Selling or giving away watch
  • Persistent software issues
  • Pairing with different phone
  • Before repair service

Before Factory Reset

Automatically Backed Up:

  • Fitbit health data (syncs to cloud)
  • Google Account data (contacts, calendar)

Factory Reset Methods

Method 1 - Settings: Settings System Disconnect & reset Confirm

Method 2 - Phone App: Pixel Watch app Settings Unpair watch (triggers reset)

Method 3 - Force Reset (Unresponsive): Hold side button for 30 seconds continuously until Google logo appears.


After Factory Reset
