Maintaining Water Resistance
Factors That Weaken Seals:
- Age (seals weaken over 2-3 years)
- Physical drops and impacts
- Chemical exposure (lotions, soaps, chlorine)
- Temperature extremes
- Normal wear and tear
Preserve Protection:
- Avoid hot water (showers, hot tubs)
- Rinse after pool or ocean exposure
- Avoid dropping watch
- Keep gaskets free from debris
Water Resistance Is Not Permanent
Seals degrade over time and cannot be re-certified. Treat water resistance as a practical feature, not an invitation for extreme water activities.
Troubleshooting
Water Inside Display:
- Don't charge - keep away from charger
- Power off watch completely
- Dry thoroughly with lint-free cloth
- Air dry 24-48 hours
