How to Pair Google Pixel Watch 2

Pairing your Pixel Watch 2 with your Android phone unlocks notifications, health tracking, and the full smartwatch experience.


Pre-Pairing Checklist

  • Battery: Both devices at least 50% charged
  • Phone Software: Latest Android updates installed
  • Apps: Google Pixel Watch app installed from Play Store
  • Bluetooth: Enabled in phone settings

  1. Power on watch (hold crown button)

Standard Pairing (Other Android Phones)

For Samsung, OnePlus, and other Android devices:

Step 1: Install App Download Google Pixel Watch app from Play Store. Sign in with Google account.

Step 2: Prepare Watch Power on watch, select language, wait for pairing screen with code.

Step 3: Pair

  1. Open Pixel Watch app Tap Set up a watch
  2. Grant permissions: Bluetooth, location, notifications, phone calls
  3. Select Pixel Watch 2 from discovered devices
  4. Verify pairing code matches on both screens
  5. Tap Pair to confirm

Step 4: Configure

  1. Sign in to Google account
  2. Set up Fitbit account for health tracking
  3. Connect to WiFi
  4. Enable app notifications
  5. Choose default watch face
  6. Install available software updates

Complete pairing takes 15-25 minutes.

Troubleshooting

  • Pairing Fails: Verify Android 10.0+, remove other watches from phone, disable VPN during pairing.
