OnePlus Watch 3 Not Pairing

If your OnePlus Watch 3 won't pair with your Android phone, follow these troubleshooting steps.


Quick Checklist

  • Bluetooth and Location enabled on phone
  • Phone running Android 9.0+
  • OnePlus Health or Wear OS app installed
  • Watch charged above 30%
  • Devices within 1 meter of each other

Watch Not Appearing

  1. Enable Location: Required for Bluetooth discovery on Android
  2. Restart both devices: Hold crown 10+ seconds for watch
  3. Update app: Get latest OnePlus Health or Wear OS from Play Store
  4. Factory reset watch if previously paired with another phone

Pairing Fails

  1. Verify codes match: 6-digit code must be identical on both devices
  2. Grant all permissions: Bluetooth, Location, Notifications, Phone, Contacts
  3. Disable battery optimization: Settings Apps OnePlus Health Battery Unrestricted
  4. Forget old pairings: Remove any "OnePlus Watch" entries from Bluetooth settings

Phone-Specific Fixes

Samsung: Disable Galaxy Wearable app temporarily

Xiaomi: Disable "MIUI optimization" in Developer Options

All phones: Clear Bluetooth cache: Settings Apps Bluetooth Clear cache


Factory Reset Watch

If watch was paired with another phone:

Settings System Disconnect & reset

Or: Hold crown + lower button 10-15 seconds Select Factory Reset


Post-Pairing Issues

Keeps disconnecting:

  • Disable battery optimization for OnePlus Health/Wear OS
  • Stay within 10 meters of phone

Notifications not syncing:

  • Settings Apps Special app access Notification access Enable app
