Some activities can exceed the water resistance capabilities:

  • Hot Tubs and Saunas: High heat and steam can damage seals
  • High-Pressure Water: Water skiing, jet skiing, or high-velocity water jets
  • Deep Diving: Scuba diving or depths beyond 50 meters
  • Extreme Temperature Changes: Going from hot to cold water rapidly

After Water Exposure

Take these steps to maintain water resistance over time.

  • Rinse with Fresh Water: Always rinse after pool, ocean, or soapy water exposure
  • Dry Gently: Pat dry with a soft cloth
  • Use Water Lock: Before swimming, enable water lock to prevent accidental touches and eject water from speakers afterward
  • Clean Band Separately: Remove and clean bands after saltwater exposure

  2. Tap the water droplet icon to enable Water Lock
  3. After swimming, rotate the crown or use the button combination to eject water from speakers
