Galaxy Watch 7 Samsung Health Freezing During Workouts

Some Galaxy Watch 7 users experience Samsung Health freezing during workouts. The primary cause is a known conflict between Always-On Display and workout tracking.


Symptoms

  • Samsung Health freezes mid-workout
  • Screen becomes unresponsive
  • Workout data may be lost
  • Watch needs restart to recover
  • Often occurs with AOD enabled during GPS workouts

Primary Fix: Disable AOD During Workouts

Most effective workaround:

  1. Before starting workout: Swipe down tap AOD icon to disable
  2. Start your workout
  3. Re-enable AOD after workout if desired

There's a known conflict between AOD refresh and workout display updates.

Known Issue

Samsung is aware of this problem and a fix is expected in a future software update. Check Settings Software update weekly for patches.
