Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Not Pairing - Troubleshooting

If your Galaxy Watch 6 Classic won't pair with your phone, work through these troubleshooting steps in order. Most pairing issues are resolved by the first few steps.


Quick Fixes (Try These First)

  1. Restart both devices — Power off phone and watch, wait 30 seconds, power both back on
  2. Verify Bluetooth is on — Phone Settings Bluetooth ensure ON
  3. Move closer — Keep devices within 3 feet during pairing
  4. Update Galaxy Wearable — Check Google Play Store for app updates
  5. Check phone compatibility — Requires Android 10+ with Google Play Services

If Watch Isn't Found

  • Ensure watch is in pairing mode: New watches auto-enter pairing mode. Otherwise: Settings Connections Bluetooth ensure ON
  • Forget previous pairings: On phone, go to Bluetooth settings, find the watch, tap Forget
  • Disable other Bluetooth devices temporarily to reduce interference
  • Try manual pairing: In Galaxy Wearable, tap menu Pair new device

If Pairing Keeps Failing

  • Stay within range — Don't walk away during the process
