Swimming Features

The watch tracks swimming workouts with lap counting, stroke detection, distance, and pace. Open Samsung Health select Swimming (pool) set pool length start workout.

After swimming, especially in salt water or chlorinated pools, rinse with fresh water and rotate the bezel while rinsing to clear debris from the gap.

Water Lock

Enable Water Lock before swimming: Swipe down tap the water droplet icon. This locks the screen to prevent accidental touches but the bezel still works.

To disable: Press and hold the Home button. The watch plays tones to expel water from the speaker.

Care After Water Exposure

After salt water: Rinse thoroughly with fresh water, rotate bezel while rinsing, air dry completely before charging.

After pool water: Rinse to remove chlorine residue, dry with soft cloth.

What degrades water resistance: Soap/shampoo, hot water, high-pressure water, drops and impacts, age. Seals naturally degrade over time.

Warranty Note

Samsung's warranty typically does not cover water damage despite the water resistance rating. Follow Samsung's guidelines carefully and avoid extreme conditions to protect your investment.
