How to Find Your Phone with Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Your Galaxy Watch 4 can ring your phone at maximum volume even when it's on silent, making it easy to locate a misplaced device around the house.

Using Find My Phone

Trigger a loud ring on your phone from the watch's quick settings panel.

  1. Swipe down from the watch face to open quick settings
  2. Tap the Find My Phone icon (phone with sound waves)
  3. Your phone immediately rings at maximum volume, even if set to silent or vibrate
  4. Tap the icon again on your watch to stop the ringing

The phone continues ringing until you stop it from the watch, tap the notification on your phone, or press the phone's power button.

Requirements and Range

The feature works within Bluetooth range when both devices are paired.

  • Bluetooth Range: Up to 30 feet (10 meters) in open space, reduced through walls

  • Phone Status: Must be powered on with the Galaxy Wearable app running in the background

  • Alternative Voice Command: Press and hold the Home button and say Find my phone to Google Assistant

Adding to Quick Settings

If the Find My Phone button isn't in your quick panel, add it for easy access.

  1. Swipe down to quick settings and scroll to the bottom
  2. Tap the Settings gear icon
  3. Select Quick panel Edit buttons
  4. Drag Find My Phone to your preferred position
  5. Tap Done

Finding Phone Outside Bluetooth Range

For phones beyond Bluetooth range, use SmartThings Find for remote location tracking.

  • SmartThings App: Open SmartThings on your watch, navigate to Find, select your phone, and tap Ring

  • Web Access: Visit smartthingsfind.samsung.com from any browser to view your phone's location on a map and trigger a remote ring

  • Requirements: Your phone must have an internet connection and location services enabled

Find My Watch (Reverse)

Your phone can also locate your watch if misplaced.

Open Galaxy Wearable on your phone, tap your watch name at the top, then tap Find my watch. The watch vibrates and rings until you stop it from the phone.
